KEYSTONE APPALOOSA CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S MEETING April 12, 2005 A regular meeting of the Keystone Appaloosa Club Board of Directors was held April 12, 2005, at the Ranch House Restaurant in Duncannon, PA. President Ray Burchett called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Ray Burchett, Vicki Long, Rob Gratkowski, Peggy Shank, Tam Smith, Carla Strauss, Paula Walter, Jim Clark and Teri Clark. SECRETARY'S REPORT: A motion was made by Carla Strauss and seconded by Rob Gratkowski to accept the minutes from the March 8, 2005, meeting. Approved. TREASURER'S REPORT: A motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by Jim Clark to accept the March/April 2005 Treasurer’s Report. Approved. 2005 KEYSTONE CLASSIC: As requested, Vicki Long presented to the Board information on vendors for the grand and reserve grand ribbons. A motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by Tam Smith to order 25 ribbons thru Hodges Badge Company. Vicki Long reported on the shortage of product sponsors for high point awards. The Board decided to award monogrammed chairs to the Overall High Point and the Overall Reserve High Point winners in the Youth and Non Pro. President Burchett reported that John Harkins has donated an "Official National Poster" to be used as the Board sees fit. After a brief discussion, a motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by Teri Clark to place the poster on the Silent Auction table with a starting bid of $50.00. Approved. Carla Strauss indicated that she has spoken to the judges and they will be sending her the patterns. In addition, she indicated that she is donating the patterns to all exhibitors. A motion was made by Teri Clark and seconded by Tam Smith to include the patterns in the sponsor book. Approved. President Burchett indicated he would check with Diamond 7 on the possibility of having a Saturday evening "gathering". A discussion was held concerning the "free" stalls. A motion was made by Teri Clark and seconded by Paula Walter to clarify the $200 sponsorship must be in cash and does not include products. Approved. 2006 KEYSTONE CLASSIC: Paula Walter indicated that she is currently looking into other facilities, to include the Farm Show Building. KILE: Paula Walter informed the Board that the Appaloosa Breed has been confirmed for Sunday, October 2, 2005.
