A regular meeting of the Keystone Appaloosa Club Board of Directors was held October 3, 2006, at the Ranch House Restaurant in Duncannon, PA. President Ray Burchett called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Ray Burchett, Vicki Long, Rob Gratkowski, Carla Strauss, Paula Walter,

Jim Clark, Teri Clark, Tam Smith, John Beck and Peggy Shank.

SECRETARY'S REPORT: A motion was made by Teri Clark and seconded by Rob Gratkowski to accept the minutes from the August 29, 2006, meeting. Approved.

TREASURER'S REPORT: A motion was made by John Beck and seconded Carla Strauss to accept the September/October 2006 Treasurer's Report. Approved.

2007 KEYSTONE CLASSIC: The Board reviewed a comparison of figures on the Farm Show Building with that of Diamond 7 Arena. Paula Walter is scheduled to meet with the Farm Show on October 10, 2006, and will present the Board's questions and concerns.

2006 AWARDS BANQUET: A discussion was held concerning the location of the awards banquet. After review of several facilities, a motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by John Beck to have Ray Burchett receive a written cost analysis and menu from Morgan's Place. In addition, the possible banquet dates would be January 13, 2007 or January 20, 2007. Approved.

NEW BUSINESS: A discussion was held concerning a memorial in honor of John A. Farrington. A motion was made by John Beck to present a perpetual trophy and a $50.00 savings bond to the overall high point KAC Youth at the year-end awards banquet. In addition, Mr. Beck indicated the savings bond will continue on a yearly basis as long as the Club can afford it. Rob Gratkowski seconded this vote, however, he sustained from the overall vote as he
presently has a daughter that could be eligible for this award. Approved.

NEXT MEETING: The Board scheduled a meeting on Monday, October 16, 2006, in order to review the figures of the Farm Show Building, as well as the facility for the Awards Banquet. A motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by Tarn Smith to adjourn the meeting at 8:30p.m. Approved.
