The General Membership Meeting of the Keystone Appaloosa Club was held January 21, 2006, at Morgan's Place in Harrisburg, Pa., in conjunction with the Annual Awards Banquet. President Raymond Burchett called the meeting to order at 7:50 p.m.

2005 Board Members Present: Raymond Burchett, Vicki Long, Carla Strauss, Paula Walter, Rob Gratkowski. Teri Clark, John Beck, Tam Smith and Jim Clark.

Mr. Burchett started the meeting by speaking briefly on the well being of the club and did an overview of the 2005 show season.

Keystone Classic: Mr. Burchett mentioned that the Club is in the process of preparing for the 2006 Keystone Classic. The dates for the show will be May 26 - 28, 2006. Judges will be Al Anderson, Paul Filzen, Kennis Fairfax and Mike Swain.

Election of Officers: The following slate of officers was presented:

Paula Walter
Teri Clark

A motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by Carla Strauss to re-elect these Directors. Approved

 

President Burchett indicated that the Pointkeeper for 2006 would be Paula Walter. In addition, he thanked Connie Burchett for her many years of dedication to this thankless position.

 

Vice President. Jim Clark indicated the Board is seeking a volunteer to head the exhibitors' party at the Keystone Classic.

 

Regional Director. Skip Seifert presented an overview to the membership on the following:

	APEX program
	Single judged shows
	Nationals being held in Jackson, Mississippi
	PPP Program
	Trail Rides
	Territorial awards program

 

In addition, Mr. Seifert indicated that he was seeking re-election as National Director.

 

The Board and the Members of the Keystone Appaloosa Club congratulated Christian Smith for taking 1^st place in his wrestling tournament.

A motion was made by Vicki Long to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m., seconded by John Beck. Approved.
