BOARD OF DIRECTOR'S MEETING

APRIL 3, 2007

A regular meeting of the Keystone Appaloosa Club Board of Directors was held April 3, 2007, at the Ranch House Restaurant in Duncannon, PA. President Ray Burchett called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Ray Burchett, Vicki Long, Carla Strauss, Paula Walter, Jim Clark, Teri Clark, Amanda Conn, and Peggy Shank. In addition, Destiny Zeiders, Youth Director was present.

SECRETARY'S REPORT: The March 13, 2007. Secretary's Report is amended to read "reimburse Teri Clark $47.25 for postage on the newsletter" A motion was made by Carla Strauss and seconded by Jim Clark to accept the minutes with the amendment from the March13. 2007, meeting. Approved.

TREASURER'S REPORT: A motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded Carla Strauss to accept the March 2007 Treasurer's Report. Approved.

KILE: The date for Kile this year is September 29 - 30, 2007.

2007 KEYSTONE CLASSIC: A discussion was held concerning the exhibitor gifts. The Board decided to utilize the items remaining from the previous show and order an additional 100medium t-shirts and 50 large t-shirts. President Burchett indicated that he would check on the price and notify the Board.

A discussion was held concerning the Overall High Point and Overall Reserve High Point awards. Paula Walter indicated that she would check into some items and notify the Board of the possibilities and prices.

Vicki Long indicated that the Grand and Reserve ribbons had been ordered. The Board agreed to present the same ribbons as last year.

Paula Walter indicated that she has arranged with the Farm Show to do a walk-through on April5, 2007, at 12:30 p.m.

President Burchett indicated that the Judges rooms will be compensated as we are using them as a host hotel. Mr. Burchett also stated that he will indeed verify to ensure the compensation.

Destiny Zeiders indicated that she is coordinating with Chris Grusha a coloring contest for all the youth attending the show. In addition, Ms. Zeiders is putting together a "Kiss the Pig" contest to raise money for the Club.

President Burchett reported on behalf of Rob Gratkowski that the Turn & Burn is coming together. To date, two of the six barrels have been sold.

NEW BUSINESS: Destiny Zeiders discussed with the Board the possibility of starting a Youth Sportsmanship Award. The Board directed Ms. Zeiders to look into this and report back.

The OPAA club has requested the Keystone Appaloosa Club consider pointing their show. The Board decided to table this request until the 2008 show season, as the 2007 season is underway. President Burchett reported to the Board some of the items of discussion at the recent ApHC Board Meeting.

BILL: A motion was made by Paula Walter and seconded by Amanda Conn to reimburse Teri Clark for postage on the newsletter. Approved.

NEXT MEETING: May 15. 2007.

A motion was made by Vicki Long and seconded by Amanda Conn to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 p.m. Approved.
